On November 28th 2007 the three anti-militarists Florian, Axel, and Oliver were „spared“ on bail from investigative detention. Before, they had been in jail in Berlin-Moabit for almost four months, because of an supposed arson on miltary vehicles on Juli 31st. The same day these three were arrested, Andrej was also detained and the homes and work places of three other persons were searched. The accusation against all seven was: „Membership in a terrorist organization“ (§129a of the German criminal code) called „militant group“.
The short film introduces the alliance for the dismissal of the §129(a) proceedings. Christina Clemm, attorney of Andrej Holm, talks about the proceedings and the legal constructs on which the current accusation „Membership in a criminal organization“ rests. According to them, mere contacts suffice to be accused by §129.
In a short digression we learn about the 40 house searches prior to the G8 summit in 2007. Seach warrants were based on a dialog about a garden fence and a spokesperson of the Federal Attorney admitted: „Todays searches were intended to investigate structures and personal composition of these groups.“
The already mentioned military was also present at the protests against the G8: Military helicopters overflew the people that had joined Block-G8, Fennec-tanks were situated at highways, a Tornado flying 150m above Camp Reddelich had captured it’s target and 2450 soldies waited for their deployment.
Considering domestic and foreign military interventions, the alliance for the dismissal of the §129-proceedings concludes at a press conference: „The Federal Government and the Federal Armed Forces as an executive agency are the actual criminal organization!“ Jonas, also subjected to the mentioned accusations, gives an oppinion about the fear of extensive surveillance and possible counter strategies.
